Moments with Big Zulu

Born and raised in Bergville and known to many only as Big Zulu, Siyabonga Nene, let's us in on how he drew inspiration from Maskhandi and Scathamiya music from an early age.

The Brentwood winter 2019 photoshoot was more than just a shoot but more of a show and tell where we had a chat with Brentwood ambassador Big Zulu about his love for the Gentlemen’s brand, his style influence and his music.

Stunting our 2019 winter range Big Zulu highlighted how his uncle introduced him to music as he woke him up to the sounds of Maskhandi and Scathamiya which is where he drew his musical talent and inspiration from.

The photoshoot was set with the modern gentleman in mind but not forgetting the Grootman, who is his style inspiration. With the theme centred around how clothing and music bridge any generational gap, we included some studio accessories such as the piano to also celebrate the renowned music star that is Big Zulu.
